Default Interchangeable Snare?

Hi there can you tell me if it's possible to by a mesh snare for the Yamaha DTX450K? I want the feel of the mesh (silicone) snare but not the normal price that comes with buying the more expensive kits.

Thanks in advance.

All components are interchangeable.

Does Yamaha make a mesh snare pad? Or is he saying he wants to use a Roland mesh V-drum to use with his Yamaha sound module?

Sorry for being a little confusing, I wanted to know if I could buy an XP70 silicone snare and use it on the DTX450 instead of the hard plastic snare that it comes with?

Cheers,

Jim

In fact I've just priced up a DTX450 and a XP80 snare and it's almost the same price as buying the superior DTX522, it appears it doesn't make sense to do what I'm asking.

Thanks all.

As a general rule, it is a better deal to get a better bundle in the first place. Buying components later on costs more, and the module is an important component.
