Default Happy Birthday, Phil!

Just have to wish Phil Collins a very happy 63rd! Such an inspiration for me.

Now let's hope the rumors of Genesis possibly reforming to be true!

63 already? I played his No Jacket Required LP to death and back in 1985. I recall that won a Grammy for Album of the Year but that Phil was not in attendance to even accept the award.

I always wondered, why the solo career? What needs in the band Genesis were not being met? How different was a Phil solo album vs. Genesis' "Invisible Touch"?

Anyway love his drumming and pop sensibilities. "But for now we'll go on living....separate...lives..."

Yep...good questions but I guess I can understand wanting to do somethings on your own.

I loved his work with Clapton. Bad Love, for example.

Yup, my biggest influence and my favorite band of all time (Genesis). He was a monster of a drummer. Did I hear he's coming out of retirement?

Given Phil's track record with the ladys, That just might be his dream, not Mary's....

Phil was my inspiration to start playing- you can spot his playing/sound at a mile in the dark, just so distinctive.

Like Mary and others, I'm hoping for the big reunion too.
