Default bass drum mount

Hello, I recently acquired a used pearl reference kit for a great price, only downside it has a virgin kick drum. I have been thinking of installing a dw tom mount with the sliding pos and replace the optimounts with the ludwig atlas brackets.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

sounds good to me. I like the consolette style mounts and the atlas stuff is the way to go. why don't you like the virgin bass drum? is it tom positioning?

Yeah it's the tom positioning/set up time and i'm not really a huge fan of the pearl mounting system and the optimounts are kinda heavy. Using the atlas mount i would get rid of some weight and i think you would be able to see the finish better. But i'm wondering if the ref toms would be too heavy for the atlas mount
