Default JBL EON 515XT's, Mackie SRM 650's or something else for a Roland TD30 KV?

Hi All,

I am on the verge of getting my first electronic kit, a Roland TD30KV kit. Now I am looking for quality monitors to drive it without diminishing the sound quality for home use and up to medium sized venues. The local music stores do not carry the upper echelon Mackie and JBL monitors. I really hate to buy something and not have heard it first. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Recently upgraded from a JBL EON315 to a Yamaha DXR12. It is about 30 times better. Louder, clearer, quieter, better in every way.

I will direct you to this thread at the Vdrums forum:

Lots of Monitor/PA talk to wrap your brain around.
