Default Mic Drums CHEAP?

So I just got rid of my roland kit and bought a nice Gretsch acoustic set. I was curious what the best way is to play along with music. I am betting it is micing the drums through a mixer etc. Right now I have an Audio-Technica studio pack with an AT2020 and an AT2021 mic. I was thinking of running these through a Behringer mixer. I was curious if this was ok, or if I really needed something else.

My thought was maybe the 2021 as an overhead and the 2020 as a mic just on a stand in the front. Then run an iPod or something through the mixer out to headphones so I could blend it all in. Keep in mind that I am not really recording for the sake of making records, mostly just so I can hear the quality of the drums while playing some music via an iPod for practice.

Any advice to do this on the cheap would be great.

Thanks,
Andy

The cheapest thing would be to just play the music through headphones/earbuds. You'll hear enough of the drums. You'll also have the added benefit of a bit of hearing protection.
