Default roland hd-3 lite or Yamaha dtx450k

Hey guys, new to the forum. I am looking to purchase my first electronic kit. I am just starting out playing the drums and don't know much about them. I've been looking at the hd-3Lite or the dtx450k. Right now I am leaning towards the Roland. But like the Yamaha for its kick pedal. If anyone have theses kits could u tell me ur experience with them. Or just tell me which is better.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony.
I had onde HD3 and os a Nice litteris kit that performs well as a midi Controller for VSTs, but the internal sounds are not that good (this is very personal). I never played the DTX450k but heard the promo videos on YouTube and it is way better than the HD3. So, I think you should try to play them in the store, but if you cannot, check the videos on YouTube. I think the DTX450k is going to give you more options and better sounds...

I'd go for a used kit ...

I use a Roland Lite kit for practice. The programed kits aren't that great sounding.
It is a good practice tool.
I wouldn't gig with the kit though. It isn't of that quality.
