Default Stick Saver Hoops

I saw on an ad for a" for sale snare", Stick Saver hoops on the reso side as well. What is the reason or advantage of this. I have one on one of my snares but the batter only. I cant imagine why unless there is a supposed difference in sound. I didn't notice the difference on my snare on just the batter

Default Re: Stick Saver Hoops

Maybe just 'cause they already were making the stick saver hoops and might as well cut the holes in them for snare sides and not bother getting a whole new supply chain for regular ones?

I agree, they probably wouldn't make much difference soundwise, though.
