Default Gear for marching lots of auxiliary percussion

As the only percussionist of a festival street band, I need to perform a bunch of auxiliary percussion while marching. I've seen people attach a cowbell or cymbal to their marching snare, but I haven't seen anybody march as many/unusual instruments as I plan to, which is why I need your help:

1) I'd like to play hand-held instruments including shaker, claves, vibra-slap, bones, and tambourine. What are ways that I can march/play hand-held instruments and rapidly switch to/from other instruments without the risk of dropping them? I don't have the luxury of a few seconds to nicely put things away. I don't think a trap table is feasible. I was thinking of putting them on springs or some sort of auto-retracting string.

2) Is there a existing marching carrier that enables lots of aux percussion mounts? Do I need to build a special rig and/or what existing parts can I attach to make one? I'm not thrilled with the idea of carrying around quads in addition -- a single tenor drum is okay but might not be big enough for so many attachments.

(The style of the band is steampunk, so it's okay for the rig to look unusual)

For reference, the instruments that I would like to march are:
  • tambourine (preferably hand-held)
  • shaker
  • cowbell
  • bongos
  • agogo
  • vibra-slap
  • samba whistle
  • claves
  • woodblock
  • tenor drum?
  • cymbal
  • spoons/bones
  • trash percussion (trash can lid, plastic bottles, tin cans)

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks for your help

Maybe a drum rack bar? That's really all I can come up with.

Maybe something like this would work...

"My music is the spiritual expression of what I am, My Faith, My Knowledge, My Being." - Coltrane
