Default S Hoops and mic clips

I'm looking to purchase S Hoops for my Saturn kit. I have young children who are getting more and more interested in drumming, and I like the idea of installing the S Hoops to protect the bearing edges since my kids are, shall we say, not very accurate yet lol (they love to have a go on dad's kit, even though we have a child size kit set up next to mine). I gig frequently, and we mic the drums at every venue we play at. I use those clips that mount the mics to the hoops. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the S Hoops and if it was possible to mount mic clips on them. Thanks for reading.

Default Re: S Hoops and mic clips

I use the Audix D-Vice clips and I had to take one and flip the "clip" part over, and clip it to the bottom head. The little gooseneck is raised up as high as it goes and for my 6.5" deep snare that was good enough.
