Default SHURE A56D mic clip

Has anyone used this clip on their snare? How did you like it?
I don't have a lot of space and need an easy way to mount my 57 and saw this clip, it looks pretty heavy duty....

Those are good. I had four of those. The problem for me was that the cost of that clip is almost as much as a cheap low mic stand and since I record at home I prefer the flexibility of having stands I can use for other things. But if I had to carry my own mics for gigs those Shures are the best out there.
