Default dark chrome rims

Does anyone know a manufacturer that sells die cast dark chrome (not black) tom rims for a 10, 12 and 14? I have the Yamaha Live Customs and the 2.3's are not particularly spectacular. Thanks - Dean

Ego Drum Supply should be able to get you what you desire if you email them about the type of finish you want. However, many people in the past have reported some pretty long wait times with their more unique coating/plating types, so if you're in a hurry- it might be tough.

You could also get them powdercoated at the local automotive paint shop.

Dw makes 3.0 mm black nickel hoops.

But I'm sorry , I have to say ..."Yamaha 2.3 mm hoops are not particularly spectacular" ? Really ??

If you are having a problem with the way the drums sound, I think the absolute last thing I would suspect would be the Yamaha hoops. Yamaha are almost peerless when it comes to the manufacture of hardware...be it shell hardware or stands.

Maybe the heads need a change?

You can try www.drumfactorydirect.com too. They sell all kinds of hoops and in colors also. But I agree that your existing hoops might not be the culprit. You might want to experiment with different heads?
