Default A7X Concert Cancellation

Greetings!

Avenged Sevenfold was set to play a show with Fight Or Flight and Adrenaline Mob in my town, as the first show on their upcoming tour. We got a notification at the radio station a few days ago saying that they are no longer playing. We got the word on 7/10 and the show was set for 7/16. The official word we received was:

"The Avenged Sevenfold show slated for Tuesday has been canceled. Here's the word from the band:

'We regret to inform our fans in La Crosse that we have only now learned that the production requirements for our current tour unfortunately are not possible in the La Crosse Center. We will be back to the area soon to bring our fans the kind of show they have come to expect from us.'

Ticket buyers can get refunds at the point of purchase."

The statement also said it was out of the band's control. Avenged Sevenfold has played at the La Crosse center multiple times, at least 3 that I can recall over the past few years. If production requirements were an issue, why did they wait until 6 days before the show to say anything? The production teams that coordinate the concerts have been at the La Crosse Center plenty of times to know what it can handle. Don't you think the should have determined if their show would work before starting to pre-sell tickets? They've been on sale for more than a month. Why can't the band and production crew adapt to various sized venues? The La Crosse Center main stage is not small by any means.

What do you think?
