Default Digital Metronome / Practice Pad

Im thinking of getting a digital metronome with practice pad. Any advice / tips / thoughts / suggestions most welcome

A lot of people really like Evans RealFeel pads, because they sort of mimic the rebound of a real drum... Myself, I've got a Mapex practice pad, because it was the cheapest 12" pad in the store that was decent quality...

As for metronomes, if you've got a smartphone, just download an app... There are quite a few free ones, or you can spend a couple of bucks and get a "pro style" app. I use Tempo, and i find it does way more than I really need, but it's fun to play around with different time signatures.... The only drawback is when someone calls you, it interrupts your practice, but that's where airplane mode comes in handy...
