Default Yamaha 650 Hi-Hat Weight?

Can anybody who owns a Yamaha 650 Hi-Hat stand tell me the weight? I'm making a light kit, nobody around me stocks them, and I'm trying to decide if the weight difference between that and my Pearl 900 is significant enough to make me think about buying one.

Thanks!

There is a hardware weight list out there, but the forum I usually get it from is down right now. If memory serves, they list the Yamaha hi-hat as about 2.8kg which is 6lbs. I have the 750 which is the same except it has the tension adjustment and I'd say that's accurate.

If you're REALLY looking for lightweight, look for a Canopus Lightweight Hi-Hat Stand. It's about a pound lighter than the Yamaha. It's more expensive than the Yamaha though at around $140. Drum Center of Portsmouth has some in stock right now (I was there today) and Steve Maxwell's has some on the way. I have one and I love it.

I wouldn't. I tried one and it didn't have enough spring to lift my 13" K hat without having the clutch a lot higher than I normally would. I upgraded to the 700 series with a adjustable spring tension and am much happier. It doesn't weigh that much more than the 600.

From what I have seen:

Yamaha HS-650: 3085 grams (6.8 pounds)
Yamaha HS-740: 3458 grams (7.6 pounds)
Pearl H-900: 4370 grams (9.6 pounds).
