Default Gibraltar Tilt Swing Nut Attachment

Has anybody used these? They look quite interesting to me. How loose do they hold your cymbals? Do they ever fail?

I have a few of these. It's a sturdy, solid piece of gear. It won't break. The sleeve plastic is pretty thick so it lasts too.

On the other hand, if it's going on a boom arm, it's not that much more for the arm with the slick nut tilter all together. This add-on pice is fine, and is secure, but having it "all in one" is what I would go for (if budget allows, of course).
