Default Good cheap hi-hat stand

I'm looking for an upgrade from my cheapie to a specific model from like Gibraltar, or something that'll hold up and be slick looking. Any recommendations?

I got a Stagg hat stand a few years ago, I think I paid about $60-$80 for it. It has swiveling legs, thick tubes, dual chain drive, adjustable spring, and a base plate with spikes, rather than the wire frames on many stands. It really is a great stand for the money. One of the wing screws stripped out, but that was my fault for over-tightening it. I've looked all around the internet to find more information on it, and I, for the life of me, can't figure out what model it is.

Any of the medium-weight stands from the name-brand manufacturers will do just fine for you. I can personally recommend the Yamaha HS-740a. They run about $80-90 USD and are durable, well-made stands.

Here's a second thumbs up for the Yamaha 700 series HH stand.

Just got mine and it's solid, yet light, simple but still looks cool.

I didn't want to replace my old Gibraltar which has elliptical legs, they don't make that one anymore. But following some back trouble, I've had to replace all my hardware with lighter models.

If by some odd chance "somewhere only we know" is in France, I could send you my old Gibraltar at a good price. Guessing that's not the case though.
