Default Puresound Pro Custom problem?

I have Puresound Pro Custom 24s on 4 of my snares. On two of the snares, they sound great. The others have a bit too much rattle. It sounds as if the snares aren't even or flat on the head, even though they are. Too much of an aftertaste,if you will. They appear perfect. My roommate said he had the same issue with them, Anyone else experience this?

I've had the same issue. What I've found is that the placement of the the little cotter pin that attaches the strap to the end plate can cause a lot of rattling and buzzing if it's not set firmly against the end plate. I have to fiddle with it every so often to insure that both sides of the end plate are firmly against the head when the snares are engaged.

Maybe try string instead of those plastic straps.
