Default Large Chrome Wing Nuts For Vintage Tom Rail Mount

Have a vintage Tom Rail Mount?
Do you want large chrome wing nuts for it?

~No Problem! ~

Obtain some modern chrome 8 x 1.25 mm cymbal wing nuts that are available in any music store.
Take a 5/16"-18 coarse thread tap and rethread the cymbal nut. Tap is available in any hardware store for a low price.
The metric nut is so close in diameter and thread pitch to the USS nut that it can be rethreaded without drilling it out.
Install the rethreaded nuts on your rail mount and adjust as desired.
You can always put the original hex nuts back if you want the vintage look for show or resale.
