Default George Jones RIP

Just heard country music legend George Jones passed away today at the age of 81. They said he had 150 career albums with a top 10 hit in each of 5 decades. I'm not a big country music fan but this guy had one heck of a career and wrote some good classic music like, The Race Is On, He Stopped Loving Her Today, White Lighting and many more. The music industry had a great loss today.

You beat Gruntersdad to the punch here, but yes a sad day. George Jones was a legend in country music. Not quite up there with the likes of Johnny Cash but pretty darn close. Authentic. Country music today ain't putting out stars anymore like George.

Agreed. The guy was a major talent. Doesn't surprise me though that he has passed away. He was known to have some what of a heavy drinking life style.
