Default Dw Collectors series 1990s brass 14x6.5 w/gold hardware

Hi, I just recently got this snare drum from a buddy of mine...all I know is that it's a dw pre collectors series from the 1990s and its a lacquered snare drum with gold hardware over brass...it's in gold condition with few little smudges on some lugs...how much do these go for if I wish to sell it. Thanks

With the lug splay $300, if you can find a buyer, these drums are pretty common.

I've personally never seen them being sold only similar dw brass but with different badges and different drum throw off and butt plate..

OK, looking at the condition in the pics, 200-$250

I wouldn't pay more than $150 and that's only if I was looking for one.

The DW name/era isn't enough really. Older doesn't mean better/worth more when it comes to a DW snare like this.

What puts a brass/metal shell in the higher $ range is its construction, if it has a seam, or its drawn/one piece, or cast one piece.

Not saying they have been, tho strainers, butts, hardware etc. can be changed.

Condition on these drums is everything. So if you put brand new gold plated lugs on, you could probably get more for it.

Well I'm pretty sure I can clean the lugs and buff the laquer but I will hold on to it instead...thanks for the info.....by the way do you have any knowledge on the chrome over brass model that they had back early 2000 sound wise and material?
