Default Vater equivalent of Greg Bisonette?

Hey guys,

I ran out of Vaters so I decided to use the rest of my Greg Bisonettes before I buy anymore sticks... and I realize I really like them, but the tips keep breaking, which is why I stopped using them previously. So I want the same stick but made by Vater (which don't break tips in all of my experiences).

I have been looking at the specs and the closest thing I'm finding is:

http://vater.com/products/product.cfm?M=24

Here are the Greg's (see SGB)

http://www.vicfirth.com/artists/bissonette.php

I don't have any nearby shops, would anybody be able to A/B these instore and confirm whether they're similar enough?

Or any other recommendations?

Xx

The Derek Roddy model is closer. Peace and goodwill.

Thanks Mark.

I see that the Derek stick is thinner, whereas length and diameter are exactly the same between the other two that I posted.

Are you speaking from experience? Just curious to know why you have that opinion..
