On those recording the tambo ia actually the only organic percussion sound we have. for the sake of the neighbours the demo's are recorded on an electric kit, as I'm sure you can tell. Thanks for having a listen.

Thanks, I agree, I just really hate the description 'other'!!
some of our other songs do have a slightly rockier vibe but never enough for us to be regarded as rock in my opinion. Some people have said we have a more folky sound but that tends to be more apharent when we play live rather than when we record.
We're still really finding our feet I think and trying to improve as a band and as musicians, (we can't get any worse!!)

Indie (math/noise), 20"

(The relationship to genre is pretty coincidental, though, I just like smaller bass drums when using mounted toms b/c entry-level kits seem to go w/ deeper toms whenever I'm buying. More favorable diameter/depth ratios, or with a larger tom on a stand, I could go with a larger diameter.)
