Default Gibraltar Intruder pedals best pedals for $250 - $300 price range?

I've basically decided on Gibraltar Intruder pedals, this to be exact
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000EE...sr=8-1&pi=SL75

But.. If you wise drum masters have a better idea of what I should get I'm up for it. I don't know for sure if I'm able to get $300 so closer to the $250 area would be best. I need to be able to play as fast as possible as I'm into heavy to death metal, things such as Lamb of God and Gojira, I'd like pedals that can handle Bleed as well.

Here are the pedals I have, these are super old and ghetto and the only
double pedals I've ever used on my kit, the only other double pedals I've used was at Guitar Center.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NK...sr=8-2&pi=SL75
While the slave pedal sucks and it's single chain it has yet to fail me.. And I got them used like 4 years ago.. So I trust Gibraltar so far.

Overall what are your guys' opinion on those pedals I linked first? Will they do what I need them to? Seems like they would. And would those be my best option based on my price range?

You pretty much asked the same question here, only difference is you upped your price $50-$100. http://www.drummerworld.com/forums/s...d.php?t=100917

But if you are still looking for more options

Pearl Eliminators are available on Ebay for around $250 all day, brand new. That would be my suggestion.

On "handling" Bleed, I just want to make the point that a lot of pedals surely can facilitate that song but it's going to come from you.

You'll have to have that kind of stamina to play Bleed. I would say it's mostly down to the player for difficult songs like that. A pedal can only do so much.

Mapex raptor direct drive double pedals! $265 @ guitar center but I found some on Ebay for $225 brand new. To me, direct drive pedals are so much faster and more responsive than chain or straps, and mapex hit the ball out of the park with these. Fast, tough and affordable.

A fellow metal guy! I would recommend the eliminators, or if you're willing to buy used tama iron cobras or the speed cobras. Iron cobras are kind of the go to metal pedal, Lars Ulrich, Dave Lombardo, joey jordison, Mario Duplantier, and others have or do use them. I personally use speed cobras, and they are very nice for all sorts of drumming. Any of the pedals mentioned above will serve you very well, even for stuff like bleed.
Another option is the pearl p902. Its about 130 new and does everything you need it too with ease. I'm able to play lamb of god easily on these, plus they're super cheap! Durable from my experience too.

I like how all the crazy marketing for pedals actually works. "You need this pedal to play metal!" You should watch this, and see what kind of crazy pedals he uses.

i have axis longboards, trick pro-1v's, and various other contraptions that i've used over the years. started using my eliminators (that i found accidentally) for fun the other day, and discovered there was pretty much no difference in attainable "speed" after a little tweaking.
my real advice for him would be don't buy anything and just practice more and put the money towards some quality tuition but i doubt that is what he wants to hear.
