Rack toms, virgin bass drums, and ISO feet

If you have a "virgin" bass drum and you use rack toms, you have to mount them from a stand. Would something similar to Pearls floor tom ISO feet on that stand make for more sustain?

I think it would just make the stand unstable.

I put my toms on a Gibraltar Stealth stand and even with mounting brackets bolted right to the shell I get plenty of sustain.

Also, the ISO feet are made to accept the small, round, profile of a floor tom leg, not the flat bar shape of a typical stand. I don't think there's enough material on the ISO feet to modify it, and the result would probably be unstable, anyway.

I have found I can adjust sustain by moving the tom up and down the L rod of the mount. My Mapex Saturns sing the most with them mounted as low as possible on the L rod and my other toms sing best with them mounted higher on the rod.

I think its just a matter of finding the sweet spot for your toms. That L rod should allow enough isolation for the tom to resonate/sustain to its fullest. No need for bouncy feet on the base of the cymbal stand.
