so im not happy with bfd2 etc mainly because whenever you play anything fast it sounds fake. what i was wondering was on these programs are you just triggering wav files when you hit a drum of play one of the grooves? If so is this being edited at all to save space or w/e?
reason i ask was because i was going to go into a college studio and record a a few hundred different drum grooves and fills chop them up into shortish wav samples and try to use them before i spend over 1k to buy mics/interface to be stuck with a low ceiling room.
would this be feasible?
