It's a shame the work week can't be 25-30 hours per week for everyone. I am an accountant and work about 45 hours per week. Most of my time practicing is at night after the kids(3) are in bed. I usually start around 9:30 at night and play until 11 or so. I should probably practice longer, but I'm so beat by then.Thank goodness for V-drums!!!!! Those things are great and I can play whenever I want without bugging the wife and kids. We have band practice once a week, but it's for like 4 hours! Seriously. So, I get a ton of practice there. In Steve Smith's DVD, he says you should get at least 2 hours a day, so that's my goal, but it's tough. Weekends are actually harder to get practice time in. Usually, I go out with friends or the family at night and don't even touch my drumkit all weekend. I have to fix that. Also, summertime is tougher than winter. I try to improve my golf game in the summer and play more sports at dusk. When I get home- I'm done for the day...
