Default New Age Lounge Kit

I've been working on a New Age/Lounge Drum set.

Lots of shakers and chimes. Notice the mini-hihat, it's a Chinese NiaoBo, and the jungle bass drum. I call New Age because of the shakers, but the rasps and complimentary animal calls give it that lounge effect.

I think one theme is the vertical hanging things. I actually found a second hanging rack, and I wonder if I missed anything.

Yeah, I think I would go for something like that. I left the cowbell on the traditional drumset when I schizmed the set, the dynamics are a bit much and fit better with the crashes rides and big hats, plus I can use the same rhythms twice with a different sound on the two sets. In the New Age Lounge set, I use the bamboo guiro tube in the cowbell roll.

The other issue is that I don't really use standard drum sticks, instead I use a variety of mallets or these 1/4in bamboo sticks, which actually sound pretty good on just about everything.
