NAMM 2012 - Who's in?

I'm really hoping this is the year that Yamaha will reintroduce the Hexrack. Either way, I'd love to see tons of pics from their booth.

Boy, are you in luck. I just happened to be helping out at the Yamaha set-up today, and they had several of the new hexracks there. They are lighter weight also. Wait till you see the main kit set-up, killer!

I guess it's good that Yamaha is going bigger and bigger. Didn't they lose Peter Erskine because he asked for light flat-based hardware and they said no? That'd be really funny if it was true - but considering what he's playing at DW, it makes sense ;)

Hehehe keeping secrets is hard, tell them is such a big fun :D (it wasn't me by the way :p) :

First up the ever popular and best selling Yamaha Gigmaker acoustic drum kit will be shipping with a 3-piece cymbal pack. This of course will be music to the ears of anyone in the market for a high quality starter kit as now you can get rockin’ straight out the box! Kits are expected to ship with a three piece cymbal set from April this year.

A new Hex Rack has been developed. Straddling the worlds of electronic and acoustic drum hardware, Yamaha's Hex Rack has long been a favorite. Now, with a extremely masculine make-over the Hex rack is not only lighter but is also stronger! It just keeps getting better as the new Hex Rack is still compatible with all the old Hex Rack gear, good stuff eh?! If that wasn't enough to temp you, the new Hex Rack will actually be selling cheaper than the old one... Thanks Yamaha!

Aside from NAMM, another feature packed addition to the DTX range of electronic drums, the DTX 560K. Developed and built around the DTX540K, the 560K has the addition of a real-feel hi-hat pad which mounts onto a real hi-hat stand. Yamaha will be shipping the DTX560K immediately,

Well, looks like I will trek over to the Yamaha Center. For those who don't get the chance to attend, Yamaha has so much stuff they actually set up in an entire different venue apart from the Convention Center. It's crazy huge, located just next door at the Marriott.

I don't know why I was expecting the Hexrack II to look any different. It may be lighter and stronger but it looks exactly the same as the first Hexrack. No wonder all the parts are compatible. LOL! I'm just happy that we can all get parts for our beloved Hexracks.

Wow new rack looks good Wes and from what I hear a price drop??
I will have tons of pic's later today on this rack

I kept an eye on the forum all weekend long and still haven't seen much from the Yamaha display. I watched a lot of Yamaha's NAMM website but still haven't seen many high res photos. Anyone got some sweet pics from Yamaha's display?
