MacBook Pro apps, tips, etc.

Hey! So I start college as a music major soon. I bought a MacBook Pro, I am planning on doing some on stage work with it eventually and was curious with other drummers, a lot of them have a Macbook next to them. What do you guys run on it if you use one during gigs?
Any must have apps for drumming? Or just performance in general? Tips?

It depends on what you're trying to do with it.

What exactly are you planning to use it for?

Pretty much anything I'm gonna be buying a Blue mic to do some basic demo recordings so recording stuff other then just garage band obviously, which I will use.

Click tracks. Loops.
I'm open to any options at all.

iRealB: http://www.irealb.com/ . Great app, well supported by users with charts and info. I use it to edit on my desktop, and then slurp the charts down to my iPhone or iPad- but there's no reason whatsoever that you can't use it just on your laptop as a clicktrack and backing track machine.

With 5 minutes of searching in their user forums, you can have over 2000 standards to hack along with. It is well worth spending a few minutes to try out.

Standard disclaimer applies: no connection with the developers other than as a satisfied customer, yadda yadda...
