Aaron Spears HypeJuice... How?

What is exactly are you wanting to know? (i.e. 0:35-????) Please keep in mind that the track he is playing along with is drum heavy too so it may sound more complex with what he is doing. Just for starters though....

1. From 0:33- 0:39 he is doing some 3 over 4 stuff which adds a cool sound but not that complex if you have an independent mind.

2. At 0:42-0:44 he is doing 32nd paradiddles between his right hand and right foot on beats one and two and his left hand is doing (1)e+(a) 2e(+)a 3 * Parentheses being the notes that he strikes. that is a pretty cool lick.

3. Throughout the whole track he is starting licks with 32nd notes and tailing them with 16th and triplets which adds a cool start and stop/ slow in down effect.

That should plenty to gnaw on unless you wanted a specific lick, some of his stuff is not based on patterrns so it would be easier to write down.

The DVD is fantastic! Get it! You can learn a lot just watching Aaron. Not just with regards to technique but concepts as well. His whole approach to fills is very unique. Not to mention dude is in the pocket.
