Good drums shops in Las Vegas?

Hey people, I'll be in Las Vegas 3-18 thru 3-27 visiting my daughter. I don't gamble so I'll have plenty of time to kick around town and visit music/drum shops. Any suggestions? Also, If anyone lives in the area and wants to meet for a cold beverage, PM me with contact info.

I could hang out in a casino all day and not spend a dime and be fine. The lights, the sounds, the carpet, the just overall atmosphere. It's like being in a game show.

The gambling, I could care less. I went gambling twice, didn't really get into it. But the surroundings are awesome.

That being said, I could hang out in a good drum shop all day too, and would much rather do so.

I don't gamble either, I figure if I'm going to lose my money I might as well lose it buying drum gear.

Thanks for the info and anecdotes. I've been out there a few times before. I actually worked in the casino gaming industry for over 30 years. I started in Atlantic City at the Playboy Club in 1984. Then on to Caesars, Showboat and Trump Plaza before moving to Pittsburgh to work at Rivers Casino. Having retired in early January, I have all this free time now to visit my kids, practice my drum licks and post inane stuff on here. Life is good. :)

Spent many a day in Vegas caring for a sick aunt.
It's GC and Sam Ash.
The other stores are mom and pop and have cheapie offerings in terms of drums.

I would also check out Zia Record Exchange off of Eastern Ave if you're looking for rare music at cheap prices.

Sounds good. I'll hit them both up. Thanks. Zia Records too.
