Default Good drum shops in/near Anaheim CA (USA)

I'll be visiting sunny (I hope) Anaheim for a conference in a few weeks. Flying in from England a few days early to help get over the jet-lag, so I was wondering if there are any good drum shops in the area (or within an easy short drive) where I can while away a few hours (and probably a few dollars!)

Thanks

Default Anybody know any Good drum shops in southern California?

Since nobody seemed to want to answer my post :( I had a look at google - but the only drum store I could find near Anaheim is:

http://prodrumshop.com/

Does anybody know if these guys are any good? Worth a visit? And/or are there any more good drum shops in the area?

It's not particularly close to Anaheim (at least by LA standards).

But if you don't mind the drive, then yes, do it.

It's not big, and a bit funky, but they have tons of vintage photos on the walls of drummers of yester year. They have some cool vintage stuff. And it's the best place to get a drum repaired.

And as long as you drove that far, you might as well drive the extra mile over the Hollywood Guitar Center/Sam Ash (they are literally next door to each other). Between the two, there are more drums than you know what to do with. The GC has the rock walk, and it's an experience into itself.

There used to be a place closer to Anaheim, but they went out of business in this recession.

I don't live in LA but a fellow Omaha native, Chad Sexton (drummer from 311), has a drum shop in North Hollywood. If I ever get out there, I sure plan on visiting.

Pro Drum Shop is the best. But not an easy drive from Anaheim.

Definitely make the trip to Pro Drum. How can you come all this way and not go near Hollywood? From Anaheim to Los Angeles is only about 45-ish miles. I think if you go north on the 5 fwy, which is right by Disneyland, on a Saturday you could get there in 40 minutes with no traffic. If you do it during the week, leave Anaheim around 11 (the work traffic will have died down by then), and then spend the day in Hollywood, and don't travel back into Anaheim until after 7PM. By then the traffic should be clear on the way back. Pro Drum closes at 5PM, so you can go grab dinner somewhere and then hit the road.
