Default jojo street beatz?

Anyone transcribe any of the street beatz jojo is doing? Haven't been playing that long so will take time for me to listen and pick them up. Easier for me to read and play it.

No way man, transcribe them yourself, you'll get soooooo much more from it. The intricacies of a real drummer's playing just don't show up on paper. You'll learn a lot more from listening over and over to the recordings and writing everything down yourself than from reading someone else's transcription.

Of course it won't be easy, but we knew this wouldn't be easy when we got into it didn't we? Gotta start somewhere, soon enough you'll be able to transcribe more difficult things with less effort.

There's some technology out there that makes transcription much simpler.

1. Audacity - you can change the frequencies with an equalizer so hard to hear parts are clear, and slow down the tempo.

2. iMovie/Windows Movie Maker - You can slow down the video to see stickings.

Makes it a piece of sweet potato pie.

Yeah but with auducity I would need to make a recording of street beatz in order to load it correct? Unless it knows about the dvd audio format?

You right about windows movie maker, can slow the vid right down. Now that's cool. Even then it's still a tough exercise to hear what's happening and getting the notation correct.

I transcribed one a couple of years ago, the one with lots of 4-in-a-row 16ths on each hand... if you're still looking in a few months I'll upload it when I get back home next. I'm sure there will be more transcriptions for these floating around online too. Good luck!
