Suspended to standing floor tom

Just wondering if this will do the trick

Yes it will. Why do you want to do this? Usually STMs help a drum resonate more and sound better. Are you having a stability issue?

I've got a 14 yamaha tom that I suspended as a floor tom a few years ago and love the way it resonates, you may loose a little resonance with that mount.

You have two options here.........

On the two DW kits I had I drilled both kits for the DW legs you can order the legs and brackets in a kit I paid around $70.00 for a set of legs/brackets.
The other is that Worldmax System I'm using that for my Yamaha kit.
The only thing I don't like about it is the hardware they send with the system.
What I did was get a Chrome Nylon Locking Nut from my local Hardware store I think it look's much better now.
If you need pic's of the DW let me know

After much thought and reading up here on the forum, I drilled my 16 Yamaha Oak Custom floor tom. Thought I would share some photos with you all.
