Recently I scrounged part of a broken iv stand. I used to hang chimes triangles and shakers on. It got me to thinking, about other lab equuipment that could be used to mount aux percussion. Turns out it is even 3/8 standardized:

Has anyone else tried using these in a percussion setting? The three prong looks particularly intriguing for tambourine or tambourin mounts. The clamp looks heavy duty enough, for anything hand drum oriented.
