Plastic sound on cymbal pads

Hello, kinda new to electronic drums after playing acoustic for many years. Trying to preserve what hearing I have left. I own the Yamaha DTXpress III Special. Only thing I don't like so far is the sound the cymbal/hi hat pads make when they're hit. Are there any compatible pads for this kit that don't make that sound or is this common on all makes and models of the electronic drums? Thanks Larry

Well, there are steel+rubber cymbals that don't make such sound. We currently have a 14" china cymbal, a 11" splash is coming very soon (in matter of days). Then, a 13" crash and 17" ride ...

There are also all-metal cymbals, but they are very loud ...

Yep. The china works on all modules. 75 euros.
The crash will be dual-zone, but it will also work on all modules.
Only the ride will be made module-specific, but I'm sure we'll have a version for Yamaha too.
