Where do you put your foot on the pedal

Does anyone line their foot up with their pedals so your toes are very close to the chain/belt? I usually play where toe of my foot is about 1/4 to 1/3 away from the chain. That's what I feel most comfortable with, but I was wondering if there was a right or wrong way?

Dont really think there is a right or wrong way...but I would guess most people play in the middle. Playing at the top would make it hard to do slide technique probably...and you might end up with toes in the chain from time to time.

But if it works for you who is to say you are wrong.

I play a Tama Iron Cobra single and Vex double pedal. Both have the toe stop. I play heel down with my toe up to or sometime on the toe stop.
The is no right or wrong way. What ever you prefer and are comfortable with.

Like everything drum-related, its all about preference. Theres no right or wrong on playing your pedals.

The right way is what feels good and facilitates your playing. The wrong way is the other one.

I play slightly above the middle, for me it's a perfect balance of control and speed.
