Default Hello All

Hey guys,

I'm George, a 26 year old drummer from Glasgow, Scotland.

I play and teach drums in my home-town and thought I'd finally register and begin using this forum as a long time reader. I hope to gain and share knowledge about this wonderful instrument and hope you all have a great week bashing your pig-skins.

Here's a link to what i'm all about;

Peace,

G

Hi George, a big welcome to the forum. Great leg tattoos! Do you drink milk, like jazz or simple drumming? As a long time lurker, you'll know just how important these subjects are here.

Seriously, this is the best source of great drumming info ever. Great to have you on board.

^ Yeah, we have to know these things. Or do you think they are over-rated?

Also, what are the fastest double-pedals? Any input?

Welcome to the forum.

p.s. BTW, no bashing of Ringo allowed...everyone else is fair game.

Hi guys.

I've used a few in my time and currently use Power Glide Iron Cobra's (wooden beaters with cobra coil and tight springs) as they are the best comprimise between speed, control and power for my liking.

I've been through dw 5002, 9002, Axis Longboards, Yamaha Flying Dragon, Iron Cobra 200's and 900s and many more before I found my favourite. A bit of advice i'd give before you start is no matter what pedals are at your feet, technique is the real winner for speed, get it right and you should b able to take care of 200bpm+ on any decent pedal.

We recently recorded album tracks and the Cobra's dealth with 235 just fine, i'll post some music/videos when i've worked out how to on this board!
