Man I'm stoked!

Our church is making a HUGE investment to upgrade our outdated and antiquated sound,light and projection system and I mean spending some serious bucks.

Yamaha NEXO line arrays....8 speakers per array with 2 arrays,

2-subs with two 12" inch speakers per sub

amps to push the subs and speakers

2 fill speakers

The drums are FINALLY being mic'd!! With an Audix DP7 mic package D6,D4,2-D2,i5,2-ADX 51 condensers.

Aviom in ears with westone in ear monitors

Yamaha 48 channel digital board

3 new light bars

2 new projectors and screens

Isolation boxes for the guitar cabinets.

and probably some other things I'm forgetting

Construction and assembly started this past week and will be live next weekend. I unpacked the 16 nexo speakers man they are nice!

Can't wait to hear this system fired up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

That is way cool. When we built the church we are now in, we installed a very nice JBL / Peavey sound system. I can make my own personal mix in the monitor next to the drum set. I hope it all works out for your church and sounds great. Peace and goodwill.

yeah that's what we will be able to do with the aviom system is choose what we want to hear and how loud it is.

It should rock. We had a company called CSG come in and their sound engineers mapped out the entire room with special gear, took sound readings and drew up schematics showing where each speaker would hit in the room and such.

What we had was 2 horns and two subs mounted say 45 ft in the air on the ceiling pointed towards the balcony, it was horrible!

Superb! Especially in a high building, line array is certainly the way to go. I'm assuming DSP & augmentation will be part of the package too. Such a great way of getting balance into every corner of a challenging space. Just make sure those tubs are well tuned now eh :)

Good to hear. Now is the time, while the foot's in the door, to upgrade heads, cymbals, stands, pedals, or any of those other things that are prone to being less than 100% on church kits. Have a blast, man!

cymbals are Zildjian A customs, upgraded the kit 2 years ago to a Yamaha Stage custom so all that is good. do need to replace the heads though. Have to see if I can get some funds for that.
