I'm looking for tom heads that sound warmer and are more suited for styles like jazz. Any suggestions?

Just a quick note to point out that the American Vintage has a slightly larger hoop to fit vintage drums with slightly larger shells. Aquarian makes the Modern Vintage to fit most of the common/current drums kits produced today. The Modern Vintage is a single ply (7 mil for thin and 10 for medium), Modern Vintage II is a double ply (7 mil each) and Deep Vintage is also double ply (10 mil each)

ah... typo I meant the Modern Vintage ...thank you

and as a side note I don't find the the American Vintage to be any larger at all since they have been being manufactured in Mexico and no longer fit my '66 RB any differently than a regular old Ambassador

slightly tighter even
