Shure Wired In-Ear Personal Monitor System?

I was thinking about getting a monitor, and getting some ear filters to save my hearing. Somebody suggested killing two birds with one stone and getting an in-ear monitor system. The Shure system is about $320. Anybody have any experience with these? Thanks...

You will love having inears but go all the way and get futuresonics or similar custom molded ears, which are around $1000 for the good ones. Without the custom molds, it doesn't sound good at all.

I would say if you are going in ear to go to an audiologist and have a mold of your ears made, it will make a HUGE difference in fit, feel and sound. Not sure of the model you are looking at but you can probably have the drivers from that system put into your molds ;-)
