Can you trigger a hi hat?

I want to trigger my drums, but I use a lot of hi hat. Are there any options? could I buy a roland electronic hi hat pad and have that work?

The lower end electronic drum modules don't really work well for hi-hat, so you'd be missing a lot of the feel and dynamics that you'd get off a real-hi-hat. Much better off if you stick with the acoustic hat and mic it, or try something like the Zildjian Gen 16 hi-hats, which are not triggered, but sound really nice for an electronic hi-hat and preserve all the dynamics and most of the playing feel from a real cymbal. None of this precludes getting something like a TD-30 or a DTX900, given that you would need a module for your triggers, in which case, you could use an electronic hi-hat that is about as close to the real thing as you can get.
