I know this sounds dumb, but my dad inspired me the most lol. He always told me how he played when he was younger and regretted giving it up after so many years, so I decided I would try. Then I just liked a bunch of modern drummers which have inspired me to just keep playing.

I don't think that's dumb at all. I think it's great when a family member can inspire you!

I've been inspired by all different kinds of musicians. As far as drummers go, Louie Bellson and Art Blakey, and lately Roy Haynes. Throw in Tito Puente for percussionists. The musician who inspires me most though is Django Reinhardt because he overcame such great odds and was still an amazing and highly influential guitarist.

I don't know about the most inspirational. But recently I saw saosin in Cleveland & my buddy is cool with their drummer Alex Rodriguez. I got to watch him right from the side of the stage the guys fills are freaking insane, he is all over the kit but in a good way.

it made me shiver inside seeing some of that phenomenal drumming he's so damn fast & intricate.

For me it was Ray McKinley and Gene Krupa. Both were great drummers and both could definitely swing.

Carter Beauford for me. I know I'll never be able to replicate his style and pull off some of what he does. But knowing somebody can do it keeps me wanting to get better myself everyday.

And to whoever said the Saosin drummer, ARod is really filthy. Hands down one of my favorites to listen to. He is the only bright spot on their new craptastic album.
