Memory locks for Ludwig curved spurs

I love the classic look of the Ludwig curved spur, but have a problem with slippage and getting the drum level on the first try (I'm one of the anal ones that a crooked logo drives nuts) Solution? Mapex Saturn series memory locks!

When I had a kit with those, I just used a hose clamp to mark where I wanted the spur to stop.

Yep, a hose clamp works, especially on the inside of the shell portion of the spurs.
