That's only slightly high for that kit, $3500 would be more correct IMO, $3000 would be a good deal.

I'm sure that Donn Bennett originally sold it for a lot more, so someone's taking a loss even at $4k.

I'm more intrigued than I'd normally be by the Cheap Trick connection, not to mention the fact that it's apparently right down the street from my grandma's house. Maybe I'll take a peek next time I'm up that way...
 
Who used the set between 1970 and 1998 when Bun bought it.???
 
Bun E Carlos dated one of his signatures Aug 7, 1970, yet the letter of authenticity states he bought the kit in 1998? Something isn't matching up.
