Default Roland TD3 Module Help

Hi all i have a roland td3 module and use it with accoustic triggers and it works really well. My question is what pedal would work to conrol the hi hat? Does it have to be a roland or would any one work.

Thanks
Kevin

Any hi hat controller pedal should work. I'm not absolutely sure on the mechanism that they use but I suspect it's actually just a form of non-latching footswitch which are cheap to buy.

Just helping another Kentish Man (or Man of Kent, if you were born East of Gillingham) out!

I owned a TD3 and used half a guitar lead. With the wires twisted together it gave me closed hi hat, with them separate it was open. I'm guessing any footswitch will work, you just have to decide if you want one that is momentary or toggled.

I don't know if the TD3 has an option for half-open hi-hat, check out the manual.

Grab an FD-7 or FD-8 if you can't find a good 7. I've tried cheapo on off switches and it played terrible.
