Cleaning V drums

Is it ok to clean a Roland v drum kit with windex? The cymbals need to be cleaned up as well as the inner rims of the drums.

If your talking about the rubber pads, I wouldn't use Windex. I don't think ammonia is good for rubber and plastic. Mild dish soap would work well on the pads. If you have mesh heads you can put those in the dish washer (take 'em off the drums of course).

I am going to assume that you are talking about rubber pads.

The best thing to use is 303 Aerospace protectant, available at most boating shops

Do NOT use armor all. It will deteriorate the rubber over time

if it is just a quick dusting off you can use a damp paper towel and dry immedeately.

But the 303 is the bomb, Many E drummers have used it for years.

I send the 303 protectant! I use it for my car and it works great on my vdrums too. it really cleans them back up to new again.
