So obviously I've listened to jazz.. I've heard Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, ect...

But I've never before taken the time to REALLY LISTEN and appreciate jazz for what it is...

The other day my friend jumped into my car and turned on 88.1 KJazz and I can't stop listening- I feel like a whole new perception into the world of music and drumming has been opened before my eyes :O

Anyways, just thought I'd share haha.. Time to go practice my paradiddles and my rolls x)

That's excellent. Good luck in your journey, I have found that listening intently to the music as much as you can is one of the most important things you can do in learning to play jazz, in some ways and at times it has been more important than my actual practice time.
