A to E kit conversion - question

Hello!

I bought an ultra cheap mesh head practice set, an Alesis DM6 module, and a set of DrumDial Triggers (total cost: around 150 euros)
it was my first attempt on a DIY electronic kit; it's ok, kinda fun to play, but the accents and the sensitivity are really bad. when I hit 16th notes it misses a lot of them etc.

is this a matter of triggers or module? what should I upgrade first?

You may try editing in the module; see threshold, gain, sensitivity, ...
But I would definitely look for a better/newer module.
Also, there are much better solutions for triggers. Like those from quartz (internal and require a bit of diy) or ddrum, ...

the module doesn't really have much options... only gain from the ones you mentioned
module was my idea as well, I will probably get a TD4 or a TD6
I just don't wanna spend $$ before being sure that sensitivity is a matter of module, since that's my only problem; I don't want a fancy module with thousands of sounds, I just want to be able to clearly hear exactly what I play!
