I just replaced the throw off on my Black Magic snare with the INDe model. I had put a Ludwig P88ac on the wood snare of my previous kit and loved it.
The hole spacing on the P88 wouldn’t work with the new drum, and since I believe the INDe guy designed the latest round of Ludwig hardware, I thought I’d give it a try.
It works very well, is not bulky, and the throw is smooth. Very nice. The only down side is that the polishing and chrome is not as smooth and perfect as it is on the P88. It still looks really nice from a short distance away, but I wish the finish was as nice as the function is good.
It is a big improvement over the cheap OE throw off, and was a good purchase.
